Reflection on Lecture

The lecture mostly informed me of the assignments that are coming up, workload and dedication expected of this course. It was very interesting to see more of the complex uses of Cryengine and the works produced. The movie clips of the island captured my attention because of the creativity and how realistic it appears. Those clips also gave me inspiration to work towards my assignments.

  3. The game folder contains 'pak' files- where the whole game works e.g. sound, animation, particles and objects. (can be opened using WinRaR)
  4. Tools folder- you can export assets and plug-ins and in the Crymax tools folder, is very useful and you can load the copytomax.bat
  5. cfg file- making a new unser.cfg file you can add personal/custom comments e.g. turn off sound, motion blur

10 Tips & tricks on the Sandbox User interface

  4. Status bar (bottom left)- show how many entities or objects selected
  5. Speed input box bottom middle- increase or decrease screen/camera movement in the viewport
  6.  Goto position (bottom right)- show exact moment where the camera is + change co-ordinates to any spot
